It’s Mother Day! And although I take every opportunity to celebrate my Mom, this is the day I go above and beyond. She is my everything and I would be nothing without her.
This is the letter I wrote for my mother on Mother’s Day. I always like to remind her how much she is loved and cherished. Sometimes you have to back up your actions with words. People like to hear from you that they are loved.
You are my best friend. For the last 24 years of my life you have been my rock. You have been there through thick and thin. And not just because you had to. You were perfect and more than I could ever ask for. You are the reason that I’m so strong.
There are so many memories that cherish but I do have a favorite memory. We take a lot picture because I’m such a diva and loving taking pictures with my mommy. My favorite memory is the day we took this picture.
The day you left me in my freshman dorm at ODU.
This is the day I had to grow up and know that you had raise me to be the woman I needed to be in this world. This day taught me strength. I had to leave a place of comfortability and go into an unknown space. You were so amazing, you insured me that I would okay and that I would learn to love this place just like I love home. This is the day you went from just my mother to my bestfriend.
We have a thing that no one could ever understand. We have a bond that no one could ever break. The love have for you is unconditional. Thank you for being everything I needed every time I needed it. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. To think that some people aren’t so lucky to receive a mother so amazing as you.
I love you Beautiful. You are my true best friend. Someone that I know will never leave me. Someone that will never hurt. Someone that will always be honest with me. You are my Queen and I cherish you.
